Welcome to SPIN

The Huntsville Software Process Improvement Network (SPIN) is a group of software professionals in the Huntsville, Alabama area interested in software process improvement. It brings together parties from industry, government, and academia; "For the interchange of ideas, information, and mutual support."

SPIN was organized in 1993 by Darryl Davis of Davis Systems, with assistance from James Reeb of the U.S. Army AMCOM RDEC Software Engineering Directorate. It runs informally and without membership fees through the support of local organizations and in cooperation with the Carnegie Mellon University Software Engineering Institute (SEI).
